Jayson Aguilar Rice |Creative Manager & Storyteller
Jayson describes himself as a devoted husband and father with a deep love for all things superhero, Disney, and cooking. His journey into the world of comics began with a fascination for Marvel's X-Men and the Fantastic Four, eventually expanding to include universes from Dark Horse and DC.
Jayson has a profound compassion for those who feel marginalized, hurting, or voiceless. This empathy likely stems from his own experiences of neurodivergence and mental health challenges, shaped by his time in foster care. He is passionate about how Courageous Comics can craft stories that highlight heroes embodying the powerful experiences of real people.
Believing that storytelling is a powerful means of embracing truth, Jayson hopes his work with Courageous Comics will help others see themselves reflected in its characters, making them seen and understood.
